I have made myself a nifty little page for my favourite ships - or, at any rate, the ships you’re likely to find on my blog, now and in the future, complete with links to my tags for said ships.
I ship much more, naturally, but these are probably my most active shipping tags, or likely to be. And it will naturally be updated.
I’ve also updated my fandom page. So:
For your convenience and mine.
I got even more nice things in the mail today, this time from Japan. The four “Replace” light novels, the character bible and a Kuroko no Basuke anime picture collection, as you can see.
I have been studying Japanese only since September, and I have just gotten started on kanji about two months ago, so my skills aren’t exactly impressive. But it’s fun to practice with things you actually like, and the covers are so nice <3
… and no, I don’t have a spending problem.
I did my best. Let it be known.
A gang of 13-14 year old boys came to the library just now. They got an easy to read book and read it out loud to each other. The topic of the book was a girl whose boyfriend took pictures of her when she was partially and later fully nude, and then posted them without her consent on the internet. The book was told from her perspective, and she described how nauseous this made her feel.
So these little boys were reading it and giggling. I felt obligated to do something, so I asked them why they were giggling. What was amusing about this story. I asked them if they thought this was something which happens in real life, to real girls. I asked them why they found it funny.
The boys didn’t really answer; they just chuckled in embarrassment, and tried to talk about other things. But when I walked away, they put the book back and left in silence.
I’d like to imagine that my words had any effect on them, that I made them feel slightly embarrassed for laughing, but I honestly have no idea. Maybe they just thought I was a killjoy. And if that’s the case, so be it. I can’t stand listening to boys laughing about something like that, even depicted in fiction, and I won’t.

Maratus volans, better known as the Peacock Spider. The brilliant colouring is not just for decoration but also to attract females. The peacock spider has earned its name when he courts with his mate through dancing. Like a peacock, he raises his two magnificently coloured flaps and dances for the female.
